An unhealthy gut can cause things such as weight gain and is even linked to Chronic Diseases including depression.
Symptoms of poor Gut health
Constipation or diarrhoea
Acne and other skin conditions
Joint pain and/or muscle aches
Tiredness and fatigue
These symptoms are your body’s way of telling you something is wrong and it’s important to address them as soon as possible.
Should I Get Tested?
Everyone suffers intolerances but not all will lead to visible symptoms or cause major problems. If you regularly suffer from any of the above symptoms it may be worth doing an allergy test.
Even if you eat healthily, one of the reasons you may struggle with body issues such as Acne and fat loss is because you could be allergic to certain foods which can cause inflammation in your gut and stop your body from working properly.
steps to a healthier gut
Personally I found intermittent fasting has really helped. By giving your gut a rest you allow your body to reset.
I use a combination of things but personally I would start with slippery elm powder for better gut health. It is a type of fibre which helps with digestion, weight loss, constipation, IBS and ulcers. This alone can improve certain symptoms and conditions.
